Hewlett Packard (Hp and Compaq) : Windows XP | Windows Vista/7  | Windows 8.1
Lenovo : Windows XP/7 | Windows 8/8.1

Supported Card Reader:
Realtek shows on their website that this driver support the following card reader chipset:
RTS5101
RTS5111
RTS5116
RTS5169

But if you look at the driver inf file (installer information that shows compatible devices), it also support the following Card Reader Chipset:

Realtek 5139

During the installation process, it will take a while because it will install several card reader components.  Note that older driver version do have limited capabilities on how much storage they can read. If you have Notebook which released during Windows XP you might notice that it would not recognize storage larger than 2Gb, so it is important to get the latest driver available.

Easily Backup Photos And Videos From Multiple Android And iOS Devices To Your Desktop With DAEMON Sync

Easily Backup Photos And Videos From Multiple Android And iOS Devices To Your Desktop With DAEMON Sync

DAEMON Sync is a tool created by the DAEMON Tools developers, which allows users to backup files from mobile devices to the desktop, over the local wireless network.

Daemon Sync
DAEMON Sync Android app

The application is free to use but not free and open source software, and it consists of two parts: the server, which youll have to install on your computer, available for Linux (only deb files available), Windows and Mac OS X, and the mobile app, which runs on Android and iOS.

What makes DAEMON Sync both interesting and useful in various situations is that it requires pretty much no configuration and the data transfer is done on your local network (which is good for security/privacy reasons as well as transfer speed and the fact that you dont need a working Internet connection to use it), without using a third party server.

Also, the app allows backing up multiple devices to the same computer and you can browse the files that are backed up to your desktop from any of the devices connected to it via DAEMON Sync (you can choose which devices are allowed to do this).

Daemon Sync
DAEMON Sync desktop (server) app - authenticating device

DAEMON Sync is more of a backup than a sync tool. Thats because it doesnt watch your files and continuously synchronize them and instead, it comes with a configurable sync interval which, by default, is set to 15 minutes (this can also be done on demand).

Furthermore, the only way to add files from your desktop to a mobile device via DAEMON Sync is to place them in a directory named "Sync Folder", which the app creates both on your mobile and desktop and it cant be changed.

However, according to the developer comments posted on Google Play, two-way sync is currently under development so it should be available at some point in DAEMON Sync.

DAEMON Sync desktop (server) app - devices

Think of DAEMON Sync as an easy way to backup your familys phone videos and photos to a single desktop computer, with access to all of them from each mobile device that was paired with the DAEMON Sync Server app, even without an Internet connection (as long as youre connected to the local network, obviously).

If you want more flexibility and options, including being able to sync files across multiple desktops, etc., BTSync and Syncthing along with "traditional" solutions like Dropbox are the obvious choices, but for an easy photo/video mobile to desktop backup solution that runs on your local network and doesnt need an Internet connection to work, DAEMON Sync does the job pretty well.

Install Daemon Sync

Download DAEMON Sync (available for Linux: 32 and 64bit deb, Windows and Mac OS X / iOS and Android)

To use DAEMON Sync, youll need to install the iOS / Android app on your mobile device and the server application on your Linux, Mac OS X or Windows computer.

Note: the .deb is pretty badly packaged, thats why you wont be able to install it using GDebi - use Ubuntu Software Center, dpkg via the command line, etc. to install it. Also, once you install it, you wont find DAEMON Sync in the menu however, you should find a shortcut on your desktop. You can also access it directly by typing "localhost:8084" in a web browser.

Its also important to mention that on Linux, the default storage folder is "/media/DAEMONSyncStorage/", and inside this folder youll find "Sync Folder" which allows you to easily sync files back to your mobile device. This folder can only be modified by root, so you should change its permissions (for instance, you can change owner using chown: "sudo chown sudo chown -R $USER "/media/DAEMONSyncStorage". Hopefully this will be fixed in a future DAEMON Sync release.

Easily Create Your Own Numix Based GTK Themes With Oomox

Easily Create Your Own Numix Based GTK Themes With Oomox

Oomox is a tool used to generate color variations of the popular Numix GTK 2/3 theme.

Oomox

The tool features built-in presets, but it also allows changing theme colors individually, and it can even generate random themes. The themes generated using Oomox support GTK3, GTK2 and include Openbox and Xfwm4 themes.

Also, the latest Oomox 0.15, released a few days ago, includes initial support for Unity. Whats not included yet is the ability to change the Unity theme image colors and as a result, the window buttons color used by themes generated using Oomox wont change in Unity (so the default Numix color will be used for this).

Oomox Numix
Monovedek Oomox preset (Unity / Ubuntu 16.04)

Note that Numix theme requires GTK 3.16 or newer, so the themes generated with Oomox require the same version.

As far as Ubuntu is concerned, Ubuntu GNOME, Xubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, Lubuntu and Ubuntu (with Unity) are supported. Since it requires GTK 3.16 or newer, than means you need to be using an Ubuntu 15.10 or 16.04 flavor for the themes to work.

An easier way to change theme colors would be GTK Theme Preferences but unfortunately, this tool no longer works with some themes. For instance, in Ubuntu 16.04, GTK Theme Preferences can change both GTK2 and GTK3 theme colors for Ambiance and Radiance themes, but it doesnt work with the Numix GTK3 theme.

Here are a few more screenshots featuring themes generated using Oomox:

Download and use Oomox

Update: Oomox is now available in the main WebUpd8 PPA, for Ubuntu 16.04 and 15.10 / Linux Mint 18. To add the PPA and install the tool, use the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt update
sudo apt install oomox
If you dont want to add the PPA, you can download the deb from HERE. Or see the manual installation instructions below.

Arch Linux users can install Oomox via AUR.

1. Install the required dependencies

Oomox requires python3-gobject as well as the following executables: glib-compile-schemas, gdk-pixbuf-pixdata and sass, while Numix theme requires the Murrine GTK2 engine. xorg-xrdb and xmllint are optional.

Install them in Ubuntu 15.10 or 16.04 using the following command:
sudo apt install python3-gi libglib2.0-bin libgdk-pixbuf2.0-dev ruby-sass libxml2-utils x11-xserver-utils gir1.2-gtk-3.0 gir1.2-glib-2.0 gtk2-engines-murrine

2. Download and install Oomox

You can download Oomox from HERE.

To download Oomox and install it into /opt/oomox/, you can use the following commands:
sudo apt install wget
cd /tmp
wget https://github.com/actionless/oomox/archive/0.16.1.tar.gz
tar -xvf 0.16.1.tar.gz
sudo mkdir /opt/oomox
sudo cp -r oomox-0.16.1/* /opt/oomox/

Thats it.

To run the Oomox GUI, use the following command:
/opt/oomox/gui.sh

Using Oomox is very simple - select the preset you want to use (and optionally change the colors if you want to make your own custom Numix theme) and click "Export theme":

After the theme is generated, it should be available in the ~/.themes folder. You can use a tool like Unity Tweak Tool, GNOME Tweak Tool and so on to change the theme.

Report any bugs related to the generated themes to the Oomox GitHub page. If you think the bugs are Numix theme-related, report them to the Numix GTK Theme GitHub page.
