1. Webcam. Web camera for video communication. A light next to the webcam indicates that the  webcam is active.
2. Microphones. Internal stereo digital microphones for so und recording.
3. Screen Displays computer output.
4. Battery indicator. Indicates the computer’s battery status.
    Charging:  The light shows amber when the battery is charging.
    Fully charged:  The light shows blue when in AC mode.
    Power indicator. Indicates the computer’s power status.
5. SD card reader. Accepts one Secure Digital (SD or S DHC) card. Only one card can operate at a time.

1. Keyboard. For entering data into your computer.

2. Touchpad. Touch-sensitive pointing device. The touchpad and selection buttons form a single surface. Press down firmly on the touchpad surface to perform a left click. Press down firmly on the lower right corner to perform a right click.
3. Power button. Turns the computer on and off.

Left View

1. Kensington lock slot. Connects to a Kensington-compatible computer security lock. Wrap the computer security lock cable arou nd an immovable object such as a table or handle of a locked drawer. Insert the lock into the notch and turn the key to secure the lock. Keyless models are also available.
2. USB port. Connects to USB devices.
3. Optical drive. Internal optical drive; accepts CDs or DVDs.
4. Optical disk access indicator. Lights up when the optical drive is active.
5. Optical drive eject button. Ejects the optical disk from the drive.
6. Emergency eject hole. Ejects the optical drive tray when the computer is turned off. Carefully insert a straightened paper clip to eject the optical drive tray.

• USB 3.0 compatible ports are blue.
• Compatible with USB 3.0 and earlier devices.
• For optimal performance, use USB 3.0-certified devices.
• Defined by the USB 3.0 specification (SuperSpeed USB).

Right View
1. Mic-in jack. Connects to an external microphone for recording audio.
2. Headphone/speaker jack with S/PDIF support. Connects to audio devices (e.g., speakers, headphones) via the high-definition S/PDIF interface.
3. USB port. Connects to USB devices.
4. USB Type-C port. Connects to USB devices that adopt the USB T ype-C connector. Supports USB 3.1 Type-C, Gen 1 with transfer speeds up to 5 Gb/s.
5. USB port with power-off charging. Connects to USB devices.
6. HDMI port. Supports high-definition digital video connections.
7. Ethernet (RJ-45) port. Connects to an Ethernet 10/100/1000-based network.
Pull the lip down to open the port fully .
8. DC-in jack. Connects to an AC adapter.

Base View
1. Ventilation and cooling fan. Allows the computer to stay cool. Do not cover or obstruct the openings.
2. Battery reset pinhole. Simulates removing and reinstalling the battery.
   Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds.
3. Speakers Deliver stereo audio output.

Touchpad Gestures
Single-finger slide 
Slide a finger across the touchpad  to move the cursor.
Single-finger press or  tap 
Press the touchpad down, or lightly tap the touchpad with your finger, to perform a click, which will select or start an item. Quickly repeat the tap to perform a double tap or double click.
Two-finger press
Lightly tap the touchpad with two fingers to perform a right click. In the Start screen, this will toggle the app commands. In most apps this will open a context menu related to the selected item.
Two-finger slide 
Swiftly scroll through web pages, documents and playlists by placing two fingers on the touchpad and moving both in any direction.
Two-finger pinch 
Zoom in and out of photos, maps and documents with a simple finger-and-thumb gesture.
